Sapim butted spokes are designed to deliver two major advantages: reduced weight and increased strength. Using SCFT (Sapim Cold Forging Technology), the spoke is stretched while maintaining the linear molecular structure of the material, boosting middle-section strength by at least 48%.

A butted spoke is precisely drawn to its profile, giving it high strength and reliable performance. The Race is Sapim’s most popular double-butted spoke, offering easy tensioning, reduced torsion, and superior shock absorption thanks to its thin middle section. The Laser shares similar benefits, providing excellent flexibility for a smoother ride.

For heavier-duty applications, the Strong model features extra material at the bend for a tighter hub fit, making it ideal for tandems and robust wheel builds.
