The Rohloff Speedhub 500/14 CC DB OEM2 is a premium 14-speed internal gear hub engineered for professional and performance-oriented cyclists who demand reliability, precision, and low maintenance in all conditions. Designed with an external gear mech, it integrates with disc brake frames (IS 2000 standard) and includes the CC OEM2 quick-release axle plate, allowing for tool-free rear wheel removal while maintaining optimal cable routing.
All disc brake versions feature the external gear mech, where the shifter cables run directly from the twist shifter to the cable box—eliminating the need for a separate cable stop. The axle plate’s adjustable 30° increments ensure near-universal compatibility with a wide range of frame geometries.
With even 13.6% gear increments across 14 gears, the Speedhub provides a wide range of ratios to match any terrain or riding style. The hub comes standard with a 16-tooth sprocket and supports alternative sprockets (13, 15, 17 teeth). The twist shifter operates via hub indexing, meaning no wear on the shifter mechanism and no adjustments are required over time.
The sealed gearbox guarantees durability and performance in all conditions, while the aluminum hub body offers lightweight strength ideal for racing or heavy-duty touring. Disc brake models require a special 4-bolt brake disc (M8x0.75), and Rohloff offers discs from 160mm to 203mm. Torque support is provided by the Speedbone or Monkey Bone when combined with IS-standard disc mounts (frame manufacturer approval recommended).

Do not use a chainring/cog ratio below 2.35 (smallest permissible ratios: 40/17, 38/16, 36/15, 32/13).
Special DD spokes (2.0 / 1.8 / 2.0 mm) with 2.9mm arc length are required for lacing.
