More Details

The Argon 18 Gallium Pro Disc is a flagship road frame created for elite-level racing and high-performance training. Crafted from ultra-high-modulus carbon fiber, it’s built to be as light and stiff as possible without compromising comfort or durability. Designed in Canada and tested in the WorldTour, this frame is optimized for modern road cycling with support for flat-mount disc brakes, thru-axles, and fully integrated cable routing.

The XL size is ideal for taller riders who need a longer reach and a balanced racing posture while still demanding top-tier responsiveness and efficiency.

🧱 Carbon Frame Construction & Stiffness

The Gallium Pro Disc frame uses monocoque construction with layups of high-modulus carbon, giving it pro-grade stiffness while keeping weight minimal. The frame remains torsionally rigid during sprints and hard climbs, yet offers vertical compliance to dampen road vibrations over long distances — critical for endurance and stage racing.

The fork and rear triangle are tuned for balanced feedback, offering snappy acceleration and confident cornering at high speeds.

🧠 Key Technologies & Design

  • 3D+ Headtube System: A proprietary feature that allows stack height adjustment without compromising front-end stiffness. Unlike standard spacers, this integrated system maintains a sleek, stiff interface at any height.

  • Asymmetrical Bottom Bracket & Chainstay Area: Reinforces drivetrain stiffness for powerful acceleration and efficient climbing.

  • Integrated Seatpost Clamp: Hidden inside the top tube for aerodynamics and clean lines.

  • Flat-Mount Disc Brakes: Offer more modulation and consistent stopping power in all conditions — critical for racing, wet rides, or alpine descents.

  • 12mm Thru-Axles (F/R): Provide extra stiffness and precise wheel alignment, especially important for disc brake bikes.

🔩 Modern Drivetrain & Component Compatibility

  • Bottom Bracket: PressFit BB86, compatible with most modern cranksets.

  • Internal Cable Routing: Supports both mechanical and electronic (Di2, eTap, EPS) groupsets.

  • Tire Clearance: Supports up to ~30mm tires, allowing you to run wider, more comfortable tires without losing speed.

  • Wheel Size: 700c road wheels.

  • Axles: 12x100mm front, 12x142mm rear.

  • Brake Mounts: Flat-mount disc, front and rear.

Use Case & Rider Type

  • Best For:

    • Competitive racers and high-performance road cyclists

    • Long-distance riders who want pro-level stiffness and lightweight advantage

    • Riders upgrading to disc brakes for improved control without losing race geometry

  • Rider Fit (XL):

    • Ideal for taller riders looking for an aggressive fit with pro-level response and control.

    • Geometry tuned for powerful pedaling and high-speed stability without discomfort on longer rides.
